our fabric

Pericles once said, "What you leave behind is not what is engraved on stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others."

Every day at Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, we strive to weave a stronger community. Our staff, clients and partners are all dependent on one another to succeed. Our donors equip us with millions of gently used items, and Goodwill shoppers turn those items into revenue to support job training programs. In 2010, we provided workforce development services to over 41,000 people across our 31-county territory. We served custodians and executives, youth and seniors, stay at home moms and individuals with criminal records. We served anyone who wanted to turn their life around, because we are all stitched together to form this community.

We hope these pages will show you the very fabric of our organization, who we are, and what we’ve done with your generous support in the last year.
